Newsletter Checkbox

Legal background

If you use our connections (e.g. for email marketing), you should check whether you are allowed to use the data of your customers. Without the consent of the buyer, you may only advertise products that are similar to the products that the customer previously purchased (Section 7 (3) No. 1, 2 UWG). If you also carry out marketing with the buyer's data, you must obtain consent for this via a checkbox. This makes you DSGVO-compliant.

However, in many cases it is questionable when two products are defined as "similar" to each other. We recommend that you seek advice from a lawyer if you are unclear.

Activate optional checkbox

1. go to "Edit" → "Advanced settings" → "Order form" in the corresponding product and activate the checkbox on the order form.
